ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Festival began in 1990
when the Rotary Club of Coffs Harbour City began a small busking event. The locals really
warmed to it but after a few years the event outgrew the resources of a volunteer organisation.
Since being relaunched in 2000 it has been growing in stature each year. It is now the
premier street theatre event in New South Wales and continues to grow with each passing year.
The Festival is funded by a mix of community, corporate and local government
sponsorship and grants.
In 2008 the Festival, now in it's eigth year, looks forward to presenting 9 days and nights of fun on the
streets of Coffs Harbour and surrounds. The entertainment is suitable for all ages with shows on the
street during the day and at various pubs and clubs, and the local botanical gardens at night. There are
daily shows in the City Centre, shows to the north, south and west of the city as well as kid's shows and
adult comedy shows.
Performers of all types are welcome, just go to the contact
link and fill in the form. We are constantly looking for new and interesting acts. Recently we have added
standup comedy nights and this delivers a new and edgy addition to an already exciting program.
If you have an act that you think would suit, please don't hesitate to contact us. Our only boundaries are
taste and decency. A short memo to aspiring artists: point of difference is important (ie. we don't want acts that
are all the same).
Coffs is warm and sunny at this time of year and September is one of our driest months,
so we hope you will enjoy your time with us.

you will find the locals are warm and hospitable with accommodation
of many types and styles available.
