How to Apply

John Logan Entertainment (JLE) starts scouting for Busking Acts as soon as Buskers is completed each year and doesn’t finish until July/August each year. We scout online as well as in person at Festivals around the country and around the world.

To apply to be part of the Festival, you need to email John Logan (see details below)

It is preferred if you have a web site to showcase videos of your work and some recommendations from other clients. It is also essential that you carry your own Public Liability.

We can arrange transport and accommodation for some acts, depending on their ability to draw a crowd and bring a marketing focus to our region.

In the lead up to this year’s festival, we are hoping to get as many local community groups as possible to be involved, more than ever.

We are looking out for dance schools, theatre groups, school ensembles, as a group or as individuals. Musicians and musical groups, wacky or zany characters, hacky sack practitioners, kite fliers, face-painters, body artists, alien hunters,  in fact the wackier, the better, we just want to hear from you.

Each of these has to have an entertainment act of some sort, and able to perform in front of anticipated crowds (and even put the hat out like a true busker).

In 2013 we had three dance schools doing “flash-mob” style shows and it was well received.

To register to become a busker or an amateur community group, email John Logan at   john_jle@tpg.com.au or phone him on: +61 2 6652 8266 (International) or 02 6652 8266 (within Australia)

Words from our Buskers

“I have performed at the Coffs Coast International Comedy and Buskers Festival a number of times since 2005. It is a pleasurable festival as the team behind the scenes are passionate about ensuring it’s success. Every year new pitches are attempted to evolve the festival. Show crowds are fun and the locals are hospitable. I will always take an opportunity to come back to this festival.”

MulletMan Nathan Bonner Christchurch NZ

“I would love to come back. Love Coffs and love that festival!”

“We love coming to Australia to play your busker festival, we love your country, we luv Coffs Harbour.”
